What
Architecture means to me
Architecture refers to the process and the
product of designing, planning and construction. Ever since I was a kid I always
wanted to be an architect. Architecture is a passion, a vocation, a calling, as
well as a science and a business. You must have a real desire to be an
architect, real passion because as an architect you’ll most likely work 10x
harder and 10x more than other in other professions. It has been described as a
social art and also an artful science.
Architecture has taught me to so much, the
history of architecture is much more than a history of styles, materials, and
constructions. It also explores social, cultural, and political realities, and
it asks questions of gender and ethnicity.
