Friendly Neighborhood day was a great start to our semester working with the community of Mid City. Some powerful interaction occurred. At first, it was more difficult to facilitate discussion than I realized. But it quickly became easy to feel comfortable talking to the many friendly faces. We are just in the beginning of planning for more interaction. Once we focus in on specific goals and areas to work in, there will be a better understanding of the people and what the community needs.
