Architecture is invented in the minds of those who practice it. Since the beginning of time, the universe has arbitrarily operated within its parameters and laws, and any meaning or emotions attached to the events that take place are completely within your own mind, and are therefore within your control. That being said, architects may reflect and consider the human condition through physical form and space. Whatever role you embrace is your own. You may feel that you are a steward of the people, a mathematician or a scientist, or a myriad of other ideas of what role you play in the world. I'd like to think that at my best I am a pioneer is the manipulation of matter, which can also serve as shelter. Architects have the power to shape culture and mind sets, and manipulate the lifestyles and attitudes of the people, though it may not always be responsible to do so.
