FOOD SYSTEMS This area once had local groceries and markets before the construction of Interstate-110 which severed Mid City from downtown. As growth slowed down and people began to move to the suburbs, small businesses like Romano's Pack 'n' Save, which used to occupy the site for this project, began to close. This made it difficult for residents to get fresh produce, especially those without cars. As residents of the city we want to hear what you have to say. Will another grocery store benefit this area?
